well seeing as how some of it is sticking out of the charging receptacle in your picture, just measure it.....and it is multi-strand wire.

Stranded, and mine looks like 8 AWG. It's hard to read an old stranded cable with my wire gauge, so it may be 10.

EDIT:
There's no need for it to be larger than the cable from your charger.

The wires that sticking out seem to be a a standard 12 gauge solid wire which is normally used inside walls in houses or commercial buildings.

That why I am double checking because I assume wires in electric vehicle are stranded not solid.

Wow

72 dollar just for a plug .. Even the terminals are 25 dollar a piece!!

Anyone got a dead EZGO charger and willing to snip the plug off to send to me then all I would need to replace is the terminals to connect it to my charger since it probably crimped and cannot be reused.

In the picture, there is an extra black and red wires with pink terminal sticking out on the side of the charging port which is also clipped off.

I assume that was added on by previous owner and not part of the factory wire?

Thank you. I will go there.

One last question.

Can my existing charging port handle 48V if I upgraded to 48V batteries system?

I noticed on the EZGO website that there two different plug, one for 36V and one for 48V

Solid wire is for houses. Use only stranded wire on the cart. 10 gauge ios sufficient for the charge wires

Ezgo did configure a new plug for 48v but, there is no reason you cannot put 48v into your old D style port.

Good point!

I will go remove the plug on my charger and measure the wires on it and try get the same one but I hope my charger wires are stocked wire and it was not replaced with a different wire.
