Default 94 Medalist wiring

I have a 94 medalist that came factory with lights and turn signals. The wiring harness is old and has been spliced beyond use. I want to strip it away. All I want to use is the current ignition switch. I am not sure where the 2 wires going to the switch lead to. There is a green wire on the #5 Battery leading to a fuse box, which feeds one side of the ignition. Not sure where the other should go, or if I can do away with the fuse box. I will be using a 36v to 12v converter for new lights and any accessories. I would like to do away with all the old wiring. Can someone please advise. Thanks Brian
