Yup. That's what it has. So based on that, any rec's? Best just buying batteries, and if I'm happy great, if not, sell and upgrade that way? Or is it worth trying to upgrade with what i have?

That IS the question. With an 86, you have got the good rear axle to mod and the good steering on the front. You could buy a 48v pack, controller, [motor optional] and have basically everything that moves the cart brand new! Scotty can set you up with everything. Would be cool to pull out and pass some of the new high dollar carts with an "86, n'est pas?

I have a 93, not an 86, any thoughts there? And do we have an email/contact for Scotty to ask questions regarding?

Oh sorry. '93 is good too! Scotty is in sunny California, you don't want to wake him too early. Just go to Carts Unlimited in the sponsors listings, fire him an email.

I'm up The beauty of these older carts is that CC did not make a body style change for almost 25 years. So you can make a 1985 look like a 2003 by bolting on the newer style seats/ steering wheel/and roof.
The beauty of the conversion kit is that it modernizes the cart and enables 48v operation including 500a controllers and aftermarket motors. Zoom-zoom
