Default Alltrax XCT mounting

Is there any reason I couldn't (or shouldn't) just mount this controller flat into this area? Maybe on a sheet of HDPE to protect it from the elements?

No reason it could not be mounted anywhere in the cart.... but that location is kinda far from the existing main + and -... unless you turned the pack around too.

Curious why you want it on the driver's side

Remember it needs cooling air! You do not want to contain it in a tight space.

That's actually the passenger side, taken from the rear of the cart looking forward. Maybe I have the controller sitting backwards!

Just gotta keep it clean & keep acid off it. The buildup of crud & stuff is a concern when mounting it down there.

Oops, my bad. Anyway YES. The controller is constructed with thermoplastic cooling towers and your model has the cooling fan installed... no worries. It can be mounted dang near anywhere in the cart.

Yes. This is what I found behind the original heat sink. That's why I want to use HDPE to build a loose container around that compartment. To at least try and tamp down as much crud as possible, while still providing airflow.

Really, that dirt is a good sign! Proof the cart hasn't been rolled lately.
