How to trailer a 01 TXT?
First let me say Hello to everyone here. I lurked around here for a couple of weeks and finally registered a week or so ago. I have been reading over lots and lots of posts and learning as much as I can before I get my first cart next week. I am going to be picking up a 2001 EZGO TXT about 20 miles from me and bringing it home. There I plan to get it cleaned up, install a amp meter and who know what else I will find to do on it before I take it out to the golf course for the season.
I have searched the forum and have not found anything showing the best way to tie down the cart while on the trailer. I should probably add that the cart has a roof but not a windshield. Thanks in advance. |

20 mile trip, you should be fine with just a couple pull straps to secure it.

First off. Welcome to the madness
Now a lot depends on the trailer you are using to haul it with. Mine has a cross bar about a foot high on the nose. I run the wheels up until they hit, lock the brakes then run a tie down strap from the roof support right above where it bolts to the cart down to the front corners of the trailer. Good to go. |

Re: How to trailer a 01 TXT?
I haul my cart on the back of my truck every time I go hunting or fishing. Which is about 3 times a week. So I purchased a set of Mac's Auto tie downs. http://www.macscustomtiedowns.com/ca...down-Solutions This link will get you to his "new" UTV web page. The one's I bot were before he came out with one's just for UTV's. I need to replace mine as they are now 8 years old and getting a bit tattered. But once you winch 'em down with these, if the cart is flying anywhere.....it's likely your truck or trailer is flying with it.

Also, just to be sure tie the roof down. Run a rope or strap through the hand holds over the top and secure it to the steering wheel.
