91 ezgo running slowww
I have a 91 cart, had it out two years ago, cart was running good with the exception of the batteries were getting old (7 y.o.) I put the cart away finally got the cash to but new Trojan t-105's. bought all new, installed them, thought all was great. (keep in mind the cart is kept inside in a heated garage) Well, charged them up for a couple hours. Went to use the cart and put it in reverse to back out and the thing barely moved, I was a bit confused, put it in forward, this thing was lucky to go 2 miles an hour. After jacking around a bit I put it up on stands and ran the motor. I noticed each time I would release and then push the pedal the tires would spin faster. I did that multiple times for about ten minutes. Put the cart back on the ground, it now goes about 4 miles an hour, and will back up without having to push it but its still a far cry from working.
Has anyone had this issue? Where do I start testing from to find the problem?? |

Re: 91 ezgo running slowww
The first thing to do is charge the new batteries.
The first charge may take up to 20 hours. What make/model charger are you using? |

Power Wise Charger that came with the cart, I need to get out a volt meter and test the voltage. I also was told to clean off the speed switch contacts

Re: 91 ezgo running slowww
Let charger run until it shuts off by itself.
Should cut-off at about 45V on the battery pack. |
