Default Auxillary battery tied into system

I’m thinking about putting a 12v battery in to power my radio and lights. I already have a 36v to 12v converter, can i wire my battery in to the 12v system leaving the converter installed so that when i charge my 36v batteries it will just charge the 12v at the same time??

No, you would need a 12v charger for the single battery. Why do you want to do a separate battery if you already have the 36 to 12 v converter?

Run time. I don’t want radio and lights draining down my run batteries.

That amount would be minimal, for those devices across the whole pack. If you want a separate 12v battery it will require its own charger. A small 12v lithium battery may be an option for those devices to save weight and space.

i ran a small agm audio battery and just use a trickle charger to charge it. runs all my lights and audio with no problem for 6 or so hours.

I came up with a plan. I’m going to use a auxiliary battery and have a onboard charger for 36v and have a trickle charger for the 12v battery and wire them both into this plug. that way when i charge them all i have to do is plug 1 extension cord in and both systems will charge.
