2007 Ez-Go TXT, PDS 36 volt all factory electronics.

You cannot run 5/8v because there is no charger made for 40v.
Any XCT controller will run 36 or 48v without any program change.
The MZJ400A solenoid will also run 36-48v without any change. You will need an aftermarket motor for 48v PDS.
We can turn the XCT500 down to 400 specs so you can run the stock motor on it now and turn it up later when you get the B2 or whatever.

I've been looking at your site and going to act as soon as I can. From what I read if I get a fan (which I want) there is about a $35 difference between the 400 and 500. Is there any reason I shouldn't get the 500? My plans are to keep the stock motor for now but want to be able to upgrade if I want to .

With much help from Scotty I ordered all my new parts from Carts Unlimited this morning. Going all out, upgrading to 48 volt. New everything.

1. 500 amp Alltrax Controller and 400 amp solenoid
2. 2g Cables
3. ML3 switch
4. Meter & Key plate
5. Admiral B2 Motor
6. 48 volt charger Yewey 1200z with float
7. 48x12 Veego Reducer
8. New Trojan 8V Batteries - Will buy these locally.

You should start a new build thread with a pic of your cart as it sits now, since what your doing is different from the title of this thread. Let us know if your taking the body off or just replacing the batteries and electronics. Looking forward to your thoughts on the new performance.

I'm not sure how important range (how far the cart will travel on a single charge) is for you, but those 23" tires will consume a lot of amps and it is human nature to flaunt it if you got it.

Range is based on how much energy is stored in the battery pack (size of fuel tank) and the rate the stored energy is consumed (MPG).

The energy stored in the stock 36V battery pack (6x6V-225AH) and the typical 48V battery pack using Trojan T-875 batteries (6x8V-170AH) is roughly the same.

If you use T-890 batteries (6x8V-190AH) you get about 12% more range and with Ranger 160 batteries (6x8V-204AH) you get about 20% more range.

To get more range than that at 48V, you have to go to a 8x6V battery pack.

FWIW: Range was what I was looking for when I built my cart. I gained speed and torque also, but they weren't primary factors. I also wanted everything under the seat, so I ended up with seven high capacity 6V batteries (7x6V-245AH) for 42V.
