TXT and Workhorse comparisons?
My "Johnny Cash" cart started out as a Workhorse I think....
How do I confirmed it started life as a Workhorse? Pretty sure its got TXT rear plastics on it and I know has the TXT front on it. I have a Workhorse front and grille guard located for Johnny but not sure if it all will cross breed.... Any suspension differences between a TXT and Workhorse?? Thanks all!!! |

Re: TXT and Workhorse comparisons?
Short body workhorse is basically a txt frame with a different body. Long body is 11 inches longer but uses most of the same hardware as a txt. Some flip the brakes upside down so the cable will get in the way if you decide to lift it. 2 options, buy a kit made for this or flip the brakes right to left.

Re: TXT and Workhorse comparisons?
BEFORE you order a lift kit, check the real axels and the orientation of the leaf spring "mounts"..... if the springs are on top of the axel housing, it is the equivalent of a 5" lift..... note the pic..
A Workhorse can vary greatly in suspension and motor combos.... If you can, verify by serial #..... I have had 3 of them, 2 of them had the different rear spring mounts and 1 had standard txt "under the axel" mount.... Good Luck !! I think they make a GREAT looking buggy !!! |

Re: TXT and Workhorse comparisons?
Mine is a 2000 it started out like this over the springs and I swapped a TXT rear into it that had the aluminum spring perches. I bought trailer axle spring perches and welded them to the top side of the tubes and I also put in a 1x3 rectangle tube for another inch of lift. I dont have any good pictures of the trailer perches on the axle sorry.
