You could pull the reducer + from the battery charger port, like I did.

How so? if I could do that to both + and - that would be closer to the reducer and clean up the wiring under the seat a little more.

I see the pic now. My charging port doesn't look like that though, I have the SB50 port.

My voltage meter comes off my fuse block, on a dedicated 20 amp circuit.

My pic was a work in progress. I can't find a better one, but I was able to fit a + and - AWG10 (I think) black and red wires in the charger port. I just took it apart and filed two round holes for the new wires. I used a round wood file on both halves, then together, to get them round.
