acceleration is backwards on my 2001 club car.

Please help me if you can. I have an 01 Club car that I have put an upgraded serial motor and and F/R switch and upgraded solonoid as well. upon completion it now slows down in both forward or reverse as i press the foot pedal down and speeds up in both forward and reverse when i let up on the foot pedal. i hope someone may be able to inform me what to do. thank you in advance for any help you can give me. I might add i installed the Alltrax 48-500 controller.

Sounds like the throttle type is set backwards. There is a 0-5k and a 5-0k. Hook your computer up and see what yours is set to then flip it to the other. Should fix it.

that makes sense sir. i really do appreciate your response. i am new ro all of this and especially with the computer part. i guess i need to download the program from alltrax and it looks like it will take a printer cable to hook up to commnicate with my laptop once i download. is that correct?

thank you so very much. this has been a long process in upgrading my cart and im now so very close. i have downloaded the program and the instructions. ill go through all of this tomorrow after church and may even put in a quick prayer i may be able to go for a ride later in the day. I's so glad we have this forum to share info and learn from, thank you again sir.

Thank you very muchKGSG!!! you are our hero today. That is what it was. te took it out for a test ride and it is working great after hooping it the controller to the computer and making that change. I hope the day will come when i can know enough to help others as well but for now im so glad there are people like you and others who reach out to help.

You are very welcome and glad your issue is fixed. Lots of other fun can be had with that controller so research a little more to see what goodies you can unlock.
