Default 2003 G22 unlock?

Is there anything you can do on a yamaha G22 to get more performance/speed? I had freedom chip on my ez go, but I am unaware of any hardware or software unlocks for these. Any ideas to get a little more speed, aside from larger tires.

Default 2003 G22 unlock?

I think it depends on which controller you have. If you have a GE controller, I don’t think there’s anything you can do. I believe that the Moric controllers used in the later G 22‘s can have a PTV code programmed.

One of the Yamaha controller experts will confirm/correct this.

Same thoughts on my recent 2006 "Barn Find" that I'm in the process of sorting out. The cart is stretched and maxes at 10-11mph on flat ground. Thought about the performance upgrade to the Moric controller, but am going to order a 300 amp Alltrax controller today and see what happens.

Moric controller & Hitachi motor is the required combo for dealer installed speed code.(around 19 mph).

A 2003 should have the GE controller, no speed code for GE controller.

An alltrax controller would unlock speed for you. About 24mph with GE motor & about 22mph with ADC & Hitachi motor. Assuming you are running stock sized tires, bigger tires will be higher top speed.

I am just now lifting 6" and adding 23" tires. I do want to add an alltrax and larger solenoid.
