Default Torque value?

Anybody know the torque value for bolts on the transaxle cover on a G22?

Also, the parts fiche for this G22- JU2- 4024xxx shows a gasket req'd- can i get away with RTV instead of a gasket?

Default Re: Torque value?

After a bit of digging I found the torque values for a 2003 G22E. Should be same/similar for 2006.

Differential is snugged down using a star pattern to 20nm/14.8 ft/lbs, then given a second and final tightening to 28nm/20.7 ft/lbs.

Anybody have a thought on my gasket question?

No gasket required, just silicone. I never see one from the factory with one. We are yamaha & ezgo dealer. Both use Dana/Schaffer axle, and neither come with gasket from factory. I dont know I'd worry about getting 20 ft/lbs on those bolts, I'd be more worried about breaking bolts off in the holes (I've done that, and dealing with broken bolts while upside down under cartis no fun).
