Charging question
After running my cart about 2 or 2.5 miles at a max clip on a full charge, it took about 3 hrs to get to 80%. After 2 more hrs and still at 80% I noticed heavy gassing (enclosed garage), and shut the charger down. I'd been concerned about overcharging in the past altho the unit is an SCR (MAC SCR481717). should I have the unit checked out or is the 5 hour charging period usual and yes, I am a newbee. Thanks in advance for any comments.

Re: Charging question
To me, that's a sign that the batteries could be nearing end of life. Used-up batteries dont accept a charge as well. Try charging again, while monitoring the highest voltage reached while charging (yes, this means some babysitting, check about every 5 minutes).
