Re: 99 club car DS running slow
Does the linkage move the vglide fully from the bottom pad to the top pad?

Re: 99 club car DS running slow
And moving at third block is probably right. The first couple are blank.

Re: 99 club car DS running slow
And by blank they don’t complete a circuit when over the first few blocks.

Re: 99 club car DS running slow
You say it's a 48V cart, which makes me think it has a controller and not the large resistor coils. Can you verify?

Yes it has a controller and feel it’s the forward reverse switch

Re: 99 club car DS running slow
Have you tested the throttle signal? Maybe a bad resistor in the MSP (Multi Step Potentiometer) causing less than full throttle? Is the F/R switch getting hot? I think you could jump the F/R to test. Just throwing ideas out there.

Re: 99 club car DS running slow
It could also be the micro-switch #3 on the back of the FNR keeping the reduced speed resistor in the throttle circuit.
You can either disconnected the wires for terminals #2 and #3 on the controller and test the throttle signal with a multi-meter to see if it is 5k-0Ω or jump the wires on the FNR. To jump the wires on the FNR, remove the Green and the White wires from micro-switch #3 (the one furthest from the FNR body) and use a automobile blade fuse to jump the two wires together. |

Re: 99 club car DS running slow
Still drives slow after jumping the wires. I bought a new fnr. They didn’t send the correct one so I used all three micro switches to test it. At first when I hit the gas pedal the tires spun fast like they should. I connected the micro switches to the fnr and still goes back to running slow.
I get 50v until I hit the gas pedal then I get 39v to 40v. These are brand new batteries and completely charged up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
