Default After changing mcor cart went to limp mode

Found that my mcor was bad the cart was surging at low speeds. I bought a OEM mcor and swapped it out and now the cart is in limp mode only goes 8 mph. I’ve tested the solenoid and it’s good just needing some help on what could possibly be making it go to limp mode.

The MCOR will not place you in limp mode. A welded solenoid and/or a bad speed switch will.

Test the speed switch by pushing the cart with the key off, forwards and backwards, and verify you get resistance and beeping. If not, you have a bad speed switch. And that surging could have been an intermittent speed switch too.

I will check that this evening and see what happens. I think I might have messed up when I changed the mcor because I didn’t put the controller switch to tow when I changed the mcor and I arked the batteries.

Start with a speed sensor test, and if that's not it, it's probably a solenoid problem, as Nole said.

My cart doesn’t have a alarm sound on it. So I can’t tell if the speed sensor is good or bad. But when I push it by hand it’s got some resistance. Any help would be appreicates

Ok, since you've got resistance your sensor is good. Next, try bypassing the solenoid. Be careful when you do this, remove one of the battery cables and flip your run/tow switch to tow. Take one of the large cables on the solenoid and place it on top of the other one on the other solenoid lug. If that cart runs normally, replace your solenoid.

Just tested the motor. Blue wire on motor with cart in forward wide open got 17 volts the big white wire got 12 volts and the big green wire got 47.5 volts. The solenoid has 47.5 volts going across it and when the cart is not moving the solid blue wire has 47.5 volts and the blue with white stripe has 0 volts. When u push the gas pedal the solenoid switches and u lose the voltage on the solid wire but get the 47.5 volts on the blue wire with the white strip

You're battery voltage is very low (see chart below). They need to be charged. How old are they?
