Default EZGO PDS Motor not running

I have a 2005 EZGO PDS. It was running fine. I stopped it and now it will not run. Batteries have 36 volts. Motor has 36 volts at the wire connections to it. Would this most likely be a bad motor issue or something else?

At 36V, your batteries are less than 50% charged.

The A2 stud on the motor is connected to the battery pack via the solenoid and the solenoid's contacts are shunted with a pre-charge resistor, so pack voltage will be measured on the motor's A1 and A2 studs.

---------------
Check the voltage on the smaller of the three wires coming out of the backside of the cart's charge receptacle. Should be 38.2V when batteries are charged.

Thanks,

My actual voltage was 38.?? volts. The front of the solenoid was the same. The backside of the solenoid was about 1.5 volts less.

I will check the location you suggested. If the voltage there is 38.2, will this determine what may be bad and need replacing?

If there had been no voltage, yes, but with the needed voltage present, no, it is only one of the 65 or so steps used to troubleshoot a stock PDS controller.

Go to this link and download the service manual: http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html
PDS troubleshooting tree is in section-F.

The owner, the parts and the service manuals for your cart are the first three, pdf file near to top.

Going to try to diagnose today. I do not have a lot of electronics knowledge but gonna try.

When I turn on the key, the solenoid clicks when I press on the aceelerator pedal. Does this in forward and reverse. The cart doesn't run to go anywhere but it does "move" an inmeasurable amount as if trying to go but can't if that makes sense. seems as if getting power to motor but not enough to make it go. Does this lead down any specific rabbit hole?

Battery pack 38.0 volts

Key "OFF"

Battery side of Solenoid 38.0
Controller side of Solenoid 37.4

Key "ON" selector in FORWARD

Solenoid does click if accelerator id pressed
Battery side of Solenoid 38.0
Controller side of Solenoid 37.4

Removed all wire connectors from large bolts on solenoid including resistor.
With key on and in FORWARD, no click when accelerator is pressed.
Voltage across small bolts on solenoid is 2.7

Is this an indication of a bad solenoid?

I have a PDS with the speed sensor. I believe this is a Shunt wound motor.

Is there any value to remove the wires from the motor and check F1, F2 continuity and A1.,A2 continuity and then check A to F ?
