No, sorry but the opposite, it means You likely have a bad connection or a broken wire since You said You have already swapped the two outside wires on the FNR.

Follow both wires from that side of the coil terminals to see if you find a loose or broken connection.

**** the luck. I’ll triple check all the wiring. I really hope that’s the problem but I’m going to feel real dumb if so. I ran all new wires, soldered and made it look pretty when I installed the new F/R switch a few weeks back. After testing everything again and putting my thinking cap on that’s gotta be the problem. I’ve got my fingers crossed this time.
