Question 2013 EZGO RXV AC Motor Noise I've never heard...

I built this 2013 EZGO RXV 48 volt years ago for someone ..
a 10 year old had been driving it and it sat for a while.

I got it back, got the batteries charged back up and noticed on my first drive that the noise when decelerating was insanely loud.
I've driven and had a lot of RXV's and something seems out of sorts.

Anyone ever heard this noise coming from the AC motor when decelerating and regen kicks in?

I am totally convinced the noise is from the axle.

You think so? I just thought it was awkward that I would really only hear it when letting off the pedal.

Input shaft & bearings are a common thing on those, and for them to act differently on deceleration is also common.

I guess my hesitation would be step by step instructions for doing it. Is there a video or some information of the process for removal and reinstall?

Step 1- acquire new input shaft, verify it has bearings & a new oil seal.
Step 2- remove rear access cover, disconnect motor brake plug, encoder plug, temp sensor plug.
Step 3- unbolt 6 small motor bolts, wrap a strap around it for lifting (3 large wires can be left connected to controller).
Step 4- lift motor, slide back, lift out & set motor in bagwell.
Step 5- use a self-tapping screw, screw it into the input shaft seal as a method of pulling the seal out.
Step 6- after seal removal, use snap ring pliers to remove snap ring behind seal.
Step 7- input shaft can now be slid out of axle housing, will have to move it around to get it out.
Step 8- apply oil to new input shaft bearings & gear, slide it in housing.
Step 9- return snap ring to original location, be sure it goes all the way into its groove.
Step 10- smear grease on inside & outside of seal, install it very carefully & make sure the lip inside doesnt invert (a socket can be used to drive it in)
Step 11- grease the motor splines on the input shaft

Step 12- reverse Steps 4, 3, 2, 1, in reverse order to put it back together

Thank you for the steps cgtech .. next question - is there a visual diagram and/or a video of this process being performed somewhere online?

Lol, if I knew of one, I would have done a lot less typing.
