Clicking sound over bumps
I know there are a number of things that could be causing this, but just trying to get a good idea as where to start. My cart makes a clicking sound when going over bumps, like at the top of my driveway or speed bump. It's definitely coming from the rear somewhere and sounds like metal. It's more obvious and frequent with a heavy load (myself and two or three others). I cannot reproduce it when the cart is at a standstill by bouncing on it or rocking it. Curious if anyone has experienced this. It's an EZGO TXT 48v.

Re: Clicking sound over bumps
I had a similar noise that ended up being a wheel bearing. That clicking noise turned into a popping noise that turned into a grinding noise....pull wheel, brake drum, there is a c clip holding the bearing in place. They are cheap, little effort to get off

Re: Clicking sound over bumps
I was reading this when first posted and thought the same thing first came to mind...was gunna let a few more people chime in and see if we had same thoughts...Either wheel bearing or my next thought was bushings in rear springs gone which is common for TXTs but should be easy to spot...

Re: Clicking sound over bumps
Ok, thanks for the feedback. I assume there would be visual signs of a worn out bearing?

Re: Clicking sound over bumps
not really visual sign...treat it like one of those fidget spinner kids toys that they would put on their finger and spin real fast...there should be no resistance...if it "catches" or doesn't spin freely it will be noisy and need replacing...

Re: Clicking sound over bumps
Mine was pretty obvious, little balls rolling across floor and a bunch of little pieces of metal....I was lucky that it didn't do more damage. Should have checked when I first heard the bumping noise (about a month earlier). Live and learn.

Re: Clicking sound over bumps
Finally got around to fixing this. Bearing was the culprit. Thanks for all the advice and feedback.
