2011 Bad Boy XTO New batteries not lasting!
Bought a used 2011 Bad Boy XTO electric cart. Long story story short with someone troubleshooting for me I have replaced all batteries, charging cable/switch voltmeter, etc. Batteries are obviously good. Now using a known good charger. Cart charges and shows full charge, but after riding for 20-30 min tops the cart is drained (battery life.) Any ideas. Supposedly all connections checked, but any suggestions would be appreciated!

Re: 2011 Bad Boy XTO New batteries not lasting!
Have you checked the pack voltage after a "full charge" with an Multimeter? That's going to tell you if in fact your pack is at full charge.
In addition, I would check each individual battery to see if they are all holding\taking a full charge. One bad battery will draw down the entire pack quickly. Start there (do the easy stuff first) and see what readings you get. Use a MM to independently check the voltages in case your carts VM is not good. |

Re: 2011 Bad Boy XTO New batteries not lasting!
Thanks DaveTM. I will pass this info along. My brother is the one who actually has this cart. A friend is the one actually looking at it for him. When I say batteries are obviously good... that could be wrong. NEW doesn't always mean good! I would assume he's troubleshooted the entire pack, but I could be wrong. Sometimes assumptions are made with new batteries, etc. Thanks again!

Re: 2011 Bad Boy XTO New batteries not lasting!
Also, find out what kind of batteries (hopefully, flooded lead acid....and not a marine type of battery, or worse yet....a car battery) he has and what the individual battery voltage is. Brand name would also be helpful. There should be either the date, or a code on the actual battery that will provide you the info of when the battery was made too.

Also, what brand/model of charger? How long are they charging and what amps?
