ezgo 36v txt wiring diagram questions

i am looking at the wiring diagram and thought i had it figured out but as i was looking through the service manual to try to fix an issue on my cart there was a discrepancy. on the wiring diagram for the cart it shows that "A" on the selector switch should run to "b+" on the controller but in the picture attached below that comes from a 36v ezgo txt diagnostic flow chart it shows that "a" should run to "m-" on the controller. if that is the case then what runs to a1 on the motor?

Apparently the tech-writer or draftsman (typically a subcontractor) that did the troubleshooting tree, spilled coffee on the engineering notes he/she was working from and winged it (guessed) instead of calling EZGO and having a clean copy sent.

The thing to remember about service manuals is that the people who write them are likely to have never seen what they are writing about. Tech writing is done from engineering notes and preliminary drawings. Or at least that is the way it was done many years ago when I was did some Technical Order (Service, Operation and Parts manuals) validation and verification (proofreading) for DoD.

Use whichever matches the way your cart is wired.
