2007 ezgo txt roof problems
We purchased a 2007 ezgo txt and are in the process of upgrading. We added a madjax rear seat. We also purchased a new roof from a guy on Facebook marketplace. After putting it all back together the roof does not fit. It’s about 5 inches short from fitting in the front and rear supports. The supports are around 54 inches apart and the slots in the roof for the supports are around 48 inches. This guy insists it’s the right roof. Did I get scammed or are we doing something wrong? I’ve attached pictures.

Re: 2007 ezgo txt roof problems
Pretty sure Ezgo made a roof change around 2014 so that could be your issue. Hopefully someone will come along and verify that.

Thanks for the reply. He definitely knew it was a 2007. He actually installed the lift for me. Ill have to purchase a new one, I just want to make sure the ones for ‘94 to 2014 will fit.

Re: 2007 ezgo txt roof problems
Go ahead and measure the distance from the back of the rear support to the front of the front hoop and post it here. I’m sure someone can measure what they have.

Re: 2007 ezgo txt roof problems
The 3 EZ Go's on my lot with back-seat are 48" back strut to front u-bar - however they all use the factory rear struts attached to seat back racks, not from back seat supports as your pix show...so apparently that is the correct roof for factory struts but not for the kit you have...

Re: 2007 ezgo txt roof problems
Did this cart have a roof before? I am now looking at the front strut and wondering if it is the one for the 80” roof which I believe is more upright.

Re: 2007 ezgo txt roof problems
That U-bar does appear to be way more of an upright than any of mine here as well...I thought something looked odd when looking at the pics...

Re: 2007 ezgo txt roof problems
Just went outside and found a roof pre 2014 and it measures 52” from outside to outside. If yours is 48 that is definitely different.
