A lot of 36V chargers need to see about 30V before they'll turn on.

Those two batteries are about 2V off their nominal voltage, so there is a good probability both have one shorted 2V cell.

Update, got the batteries to charge a bit more, but now it’s doing something weird. It moves with full power but then stops like it slams on the brakes all with in a few inches it’s like bucking/ doing like a launch control type of thing. Any ideas?

All the signs so far point to batteries. They are failing under load IE: when you try to go the motor sucks what little is left in the batteries out in a couple of seconds. IMO

I do agree with you however, I am able to do it repeatedly and it doesn’t feel as though the power is down.

So it may be a battery issue, I went out to charge the batteries again. They took a charge but now I’ve lost the reverse noise and I’m back to the small rocking no more full power jaunt. I’ve just done a voltage test and noticed that every battery is reading 5-6:25. However when I test the voltage of the battery pack I’m only reading 19v’s. Any ideas?

I’m updating this thread for the purpose of someone in the future having the same issue I had.

I jacked the cart up and gave it a little throttle and saw that the wheel was spinning freely. I then charged the batteries until they got up to green individually, I was able to drive it after 13 years of sitting. It didn’t have full power but it was able to drive.
