02 EZGO PDS Water Damage. 1-1 Code for Controller

Hello! New user but have read several threads before starting my own.
Our 2002 EZ GO PDS was accidentally drove into our pond by a youth boy in our church on Wednesday around 4pm, gradually sank in the mud enough for the controller/solenoid area was under water along with the tops of a couple batteries. It would not drive and It had a constant beep even when taking keys out and putting switch on tow. Within probably 30-45 min we had it removed from pond and pushed to dry out. I had to remove battery cable to stop beeping. Later that night I opened up the compartment to stick a fan on the controller area over night. Today I’ve gradually seen better signs, it no longer continually beeps and beeps in reverse correctly, still won’t drive but it does give me some diagnostic beeps in diagnostic mode. At first it gave me 1-4 which pointed me to the pedal box which I found full of water, dried it out best I can and used wd40. Not it only gives me a 1-1 code pointing to a possible faulty controller.
Would appreciate any help or wisdom with this, is there any other troubleshooting I should do? I plan on accessing the motor tomorrow and hooking it up to directly to 2 batteries to test.
