Re: Economy G1 Build Before/After Pics
Finally had time to tinker with it a little more. Got the bed built (cant find the hinges I want for the tailgate yet). Had a spare set of KC Daylighters so stuck them on (a bit overkill but they look cool) and it is so blastin hot I gave in and put the top on it. It doesn't look as bad as I thought it would- for some reason I had it in my mind it wouldnt look right. Also to my surprise, I was able to mount the original seat handle onto the passenger seat- looks like it belongs there.

Re: Economy G1 Build Before/After Pics
What size tires are you running with that 4" lift? I am thinking about doing a lift to one of my G1 carts. May try a homemade one. Most of the lift kits you buy for the G1 say that they lengthen the wheel base by a couple of inches. How it this done? Move rear swing arm back?

Re: Economy G1 Build Before/After Pics
Yes, you are only supposed to use up to 20" tires on the 4" lift BUT I am running 22" tires. I had to bend the side rail around at the rear to be even with the inner fender and had to cut/bend the inside of the rear horizontal frame rail. Only took a few minutes. The rear tires just clear- I would test fit any potential tire however since different brands have different dimensions for the same advertised size. The way the kit increases the wheelbase is that it moves the front suspension forward a few inches. It does not alter the swing arm, it only lowers the mounting point for the rear shocks. If you raise the cart more than 4" you will probably have to dimple the frame rail for clutch bolt clearence which should be easy to do if you heat it with a torch.
