Not for me anyway. I've got all air shocks. That's why I needed to design something that would work with the leaf spring.

Got the bars on tonite so here are the pics.......

Everything fit up perfectly and went together really nicely.

You can see here that the back of the bar is just a tiny bit lower that the bottom of the stud on the shock so there should not be any clearance issues. This cart is never off the pavement anyway.

Here you can see how the front of the bar mounts to the spring eye bolt. I just got a 1/4" longer shoulder bolt to make up for the added thickness of the front bar shackles. The shackles will actually get welded to the spring hanger to ensure that they dont swing forward and allow the spring to load under acceleration.

Here's a shot with the tires back on. You can see better in this shot what I mean about the bar being just slightly below the shock stud.

They look kinda cool from the outside looking in.

I had been pretty conservative with the throttle rate up to now because of the single leaf springs so I cranked it up and did a few test launches tonite. The bars did exactly what they were designed to do. The tire chatter was gone and the cart accelerated really strong and smooth even with the throttle up on 12 on the inductive throttle profile. I'm very pleased with how they turned out!

I'll be taking the cart over to Bob's on Monday to get the shackles welded and maybe something even more special will be fabricated in the coming days.

That's a really nice setup, Terry. You and Bob have done well! If you decide to make another set, I would be VERY interested in compensating you for them.

You might want to be sitting down before I tell you just how much is actually wrapped up in these things!! Between the poly rod ends, the moly tubing, freight, stainless hardware, getting the stainless pieces laser cut and what I gave Bob for fabricating them, I've got nearly $200 in the things. They sure are cool though.

Now I see what you did you made a improvised ladder bar to limit the axle roll. neat idea.
Yea wheel hop should be gone. I thought you were loosing the leaf springs for control arms and coil springs.
