Default Battery charging question

I am new to BGW, I have a 2007 TXT PDS that I have owned about a year so I am still very new to this but trying to learn as I go. I have always charged the batteries with the cart in Tow. I have read other places where people leave it in run. My question is does it make a difference to the charge or ultimately the life of the batteries?

Welcome to BGW!!!!

Okay either way.

If it is going to be sit for several days or longer, put it in Tow to minimize battery drain.

The amount of current the controller draws when cart is not moving is minimal, so the difference in charge time, if there is one, probably isn't noticeable, and same with Battery life.

I'm not sure if the 2007 came from the factory with the Reed switch bypassed, but putting it in "Tow" when on charge would stop someone from just jumping in and driving away while the charger is connected, or at least might slow them down a bit.

You've had the cart for a year, so I'm not sure how much you know about proper care and feed of batteries, but there is a lot of good info on it floating around here. And there's usually someone around that can answer most any question.

Thanks for the info! I have learned a lot just by reading the different posts. It is great to have a place that I can find answers. So far it has been a great toy for my sons and I to work on together.
