Re: Serial number verification
I don't know the specific rules and reg's for Arizona but most states don't have any type of title or registration process for a cart (assuming it isn't modified to be street legal).
With that being said, I wouldn't be leary about it not having a title and since there isn't a registration system in place it will make it tough to verify that it's not stolen. |

Re: Serial number verification
If you have a police officer friend they can run the VIN through NCIC and this will check the National data base to see if it has been reported stolen.

Re: Serial number verification
^^^^
That is a good option. If I went home today and my cart was not there I wouldn't be able to report it with a VIN number because I don't know it. With a car the VIN is on the registration so you don't have to remember it or have it written down elsewhere. I guess I should write my VIN down somewhere just incase, hopefully never need to know it. |

Re: Serial number verification
Common golf carts do not have a VIN. They have a serial number, but its not a VIN. A VIN has 17 digits and they all mean something.

From what I've read... the only time that it'll have a registration#/VIN# (besides the serial number) is when it's already been registered as "street legal", Then again... if it's been reported stolen, either the registration number (and/or) serial number should have been reported! My concern is that... YOUR concerned that there's possibility that it may be stolen! |
