Wow, Nice cart! What cart are the flares for? I'd like to get a set for mine.

Those flares are made to fit 1993-up DS carts. Streetbu I know you have an '86, so read this first, starting with post #15:

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...ys-cart-2.html

Ted has a 1989 cart (same body as yours). He drilled holes and put the front flare on, only to find that the reason the flares only fit 1993-up carts is because of the rear body. 1984-1992 carts have fiberglass bodies and small, factory fender flares that are fastened on separately, not molded into them like the newer ones. So he ended up going a different route.

Since drumgene has them on his '91, I would have to guess that he possibly has a newer, plastic body on his...that, or he retrofitted them somehow. I have yet to see this style of fender flare for sale that claims to mount up to the 1984-1992 carts.

They were listed to fit 1993 and newer. I had a hard time making them work, but this is what I did. In place of the Christmas tree fasterners that came with the flares I used carraige bolts and drill holes in the place I wanted to mount them. It is kinda jury rigged and if I went on too rough of a terrain they may not hold. I don't suggest it, but I made it work.
