gas stabilizer
I have a 2006 gas Club Car DS. Should I be using gas stabilizer? I use about 25-30 gallons of gas a year. Thanks!

Re: gas stabilizer
Here's a recent discussion. It seems to be the right move:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-c...l-filters.html I am able to buy 100% gas here in Eastern Tennessee, and I use it for all my small engines, so I haven't gone the stabilzer route. |

Re: gas stabilizer
I'm a service manager for a small engine shop in upstate NY, You can buy ethanol free gas around here but its more expensive of course. The other thing to think of is how long has it been sitting in the storage tank at the gas station? It doesn't sell as often or as much (quantity) when compared to regular gas, so there's a strong chance your already starting off with old fuel even though you just pumped it. There are dozens of products on the market to deal with ethanol. Some work, some don't. I've seen Star-tron fail many times & I don't trust the stuff. I've been using Marine Stabil & had no issues for 4 years now. Other good one I've heard of is called K100. Marine Stabil is one ounce per 5 gallons for storage, 1 ounce for 10 gallons when using the equipment, but I ALWAYS run the storage dosage and have had NO issues in my Cart, 3 mowers, 2 snowmobiles, trimmer, chainsaw, or generator.

Re: gas stabilizer
I use Premium gas and add StarTron and green marine Stabil stabilizer to all gas that I put in any of my small motors. I got tired of cleaning carbs. This works!!

Re: gas stabilizer
Thanks Streetbu. Seems like good advice and cheap "insurance". I'll pick some up right away. There's no problem using Stabil with my non-ethanol gas is there?
