late 80's Club Car
Cart creeps when you lightly press the pedal, then as you continue pressing pedal, the cart lunges, Runs fine other than that. Any ideas would be appreciated

Re: late 80's Club Car
The cart probably has a bank of five solenoids and resistor coils. Solenoid #1 is working OK, but the next three are not engaging, and the last one is working OK. I may not have the numbers correct but the logic is sound. So, it could be the speed control solenoids or the throttle micro switch assembly that feeds them.

Re: late 80's Club Car
Agree, I have an 86 Club Car with the 5 solenoids. Lift the cart up so the rear tires are off the ground. Slowly press on the go pedal and listen for the clicks. The first click you hear should NOT move the tires. The second and additional clicks should move the tires at higher speed the more you depress the pedal. Make sure you don't have a broken coil. those set on top of the solenoids. I had my first one break on me and I was experiencing what you described.
Keep us posted. |
