Tricks for adding water to the fourth battery?
Newbie question:
I have an EZ GO 2five with 4 x 12 volt batteries. It is a PITA to add water to the fourth battery which sits rearward behind the 3 across row of batteries and underneath the seat belt buckles. Do any of you all have any tricks for how to add water to this one. I obviously can't fit the usual battery filler jug with the spring loaded nozzle in there with out taking the entire body off. I removed the rear panel which gives access to the motor but makes it no easier to see fluid levels or add. What do you all who are wiser and more experienced do? |

Re: Tricks for adding water to the fourth battery?
First, keep a "hawk eye" on that fill jug, they are notorious about filling batteries too high, causing boil over. Back to the original question. I have a 1 gallon gas can with a piece of fuel hose in the end as a spout. i have also made a fluid remover out of a gatorade bottle with a aerosol can spray tube stuck in the cap, this could also be used to fill batteries.

Rig a plastic bottle by drilling a hole just a bit smaller than the outside diameter of a piece of clear/yellow fuel hose.
Drill hole in side of plastic container near bottom. Run hose into container. Should fit tight like the fuel hoses in chainsaws and other 2 cycle engines. You can place water container On body and with one hand hold flashlight and hose with the other. |

The rubber turkey baster looking thing is what I use for adding water. Can't say I have any complaints about it. Bought it at the local auto parts store for a couple of bucks.
