Club cart obc bypassing
I am using the cgr-123 kit on my cc 2003 ds. There is no female bullet connector on the negative of the controller. The kit comes with and I have hooked it negative if the controller. There is another small black cable that goes to what I am assuming is a ground block. There is also a black cable going from the block to the obc, do both of these need to stay intact?
Thanks Joe |

Re: Club cart obc bypassing
You will need to supply a lot more info for help. What cart, what year, what model, Series or Sepex, etc.

Re: Club cart obc bypassing
The model number on the cart is AQ0338-326829
I am following the guide http://www.golfcart.com/images/CGR-123.pdf Section II Step 9 it mentions a female bullet off of the - battery of the controller. There are 2 black wires connected there, one that goes pack neg and one that goes to a post that is attached to the frame. That post also has a black wire that is going to the obc. I can send a picture if needed. Thanks Joe |

The link I supplied you above is the proper way to bypass your style carts OBC. I would do it like that and send the kit back for a refund and save that for something else. |

Re: Club cart obc bypassing
The Bullet it is referring to in step #9 is the one I just mentioned above. It is the one supplied off of B- at the controller. It completes the Negative side for you to have the charge circuit after OBC removal.

Re: Club cart obc bypassing
There are currently 2 black wires from back obc, on goes down to the “post” that also had the connection to controller neg. The other goes to the front and was connected to charging receptacle, but is no longer connected either. I put the female bullet connection on the negative controller and hooked it to what now goes to the charging receptacle.
I have new lithium allied batteries and charger. They charged fine first time and did a short run and cart died. Won’t charge, charger thinks it is fully charged |

Re: Club cart obc bypassing
That is why none of us use the kit. It makes a simple task difficult. You either have a bad connection on one of those terminal ends or the controller lockout is in. If you have no reverse buzzer sound, it is the lockout active.
