I paid a couple extra dollars for one marked as being for electric carts. After it arrived, I had a couple questions as the instructions kept referring to gas carts. I called the seller and was promptly told it's all the same shifter.
I asked about the price difference and she said, "yeah, we switch them back and forth now and again". It seems they sell them so low, they try to make up a couple dollars on the higher priced one. At least she was honest.

I think it shows in the cart that way because that is how the item is listed on the site. The description on their site and on the video say electric.

Does the shifter look the same as in the video?

Isn't there a guy from Jakes on this site?

if you do this I would be interested in knowing if it sits in the neutral position better than the lever. Sometimes I have run my cart in neutral for a minute or so. There was a time or two that the shifter slid into gear while running.
