Aftermarket or Upgrade clutch for a 94?
Hello All
Just pulled the trigger on a new 375 upgrade for my 1994 EZGO. The old motor was done. Is there a Aftermarket or Upgrade clutch for a 94? Can I run a clutch setup from a newer cart that is better and work on mine? Mine has been hitting a little hard out of the hole (Not all the time). I pull my son's Jr dragster so I need something that is strong. Anyone? Thanks! |

Re: Aftermarket or Upgrade clutch for a 94?
There will probably be a variety of opinions on this one but, I would take both the drive and driven clutches apart and rebuild them. The front clutch could have a weak spring and need to be replaced. The sheave faces should be relatively smooth and not have any "valleys" in them. The rear clutch may have worn out buttons. Cheap to replace. If they are worn and the screws that hold them on are exposed they can dig in to the ramps causing it to not engage smoothly. If you serviced them you should see it smooth out. If you want more torque then you could go with a shorter belt and once it breaks in, it will pull really well for you. Again, this is just my opinion.
