1996 ezgo txt rearend
Hello all, installed a high torque motor earlier this summer on my 96' series 36v cart. Last weekend while doing some trail riding, hit the gas and just got a grinding sound in forward and reverse no movement, I think I stripped something in the rearend, gonna take the cover off today and start searching, anyone have problems with a high torque motor and stock rearends?? Thanks, Chad.

Check your brake hubs. Remove the dust cover and have someone watch to see if the axle (nut) is spinning when it doesn't go.

Chad, do this BEFORE you take the cover pan off, as you will certainly find that the hub is stripped. its a common issue, and an easy fix. and will ensure it doesn't happen again.

Yep, you nailed that one! Driver side hub stripped out. Thanks again!
