Lag/Slow Acceleration 2009 EZGO RXV
Hello All:
I have looked and looked to an answer to my issue on multiple forums and I have not been able to find an answer. Hopefully someone here is experiencing the same issue as I am and can assist me with it. 2009 EZGO RXV, 48V electric. When I get in the cart for the first time of the day and place the cart into Reverse and press the accelerator, it won't move. If I then release my foot off the pedal and press a second time, it goes without any problems. Question is: Is this normal? It seems like it it isn't getting the electrical source connected the first time I press down of the pedal. Is this a safety feature of some sort? In addition, when in Forward, acceleration is slow. Almost like it is "building up a charge" before it gets up to speed. It just seems like it it lags, or slow to accelerate. Thank you in advance for all your help. |

Re: Lag/Slow Acceleration 2009 EZGO RXV
Gas Pedal is not returning all the way to "off" position (its incredibly sensitive). Blow all the crap out of pedal area with compressed air. I bet if you used your toe to pull the gas pedal toward you as you turned the key on, it would work the first time pedal was pressed. Dealer could turn up the accel rate, yes it is restrained pretty bad (wont even accelerate faster down a hill).

Re: Lag/Slow Acceleration 2009 EZGO RXV
If your accelerator or brake is even slightly depressed
When key is turned on, RXV will not move. Hitting the "gas" before P.O.S.T check is finished will have same results. Acceleration and top speed are both adjustable with programmer. |

Re: Lag/Slow Acceleration 2009 EZGO RXV
I have looked at the accelerator pedal and it appears clean. Still have to push the accelerator, release it and the second application it works fine. I am puzzled to what could be causing the lag.

Re: Lag/Slow Acceleration 2009 EZGO RXV
Power On Self Test.
If you have foot on gas OR Brake when you turn key on, There will be a delay to normal operation. If key is left in any position other than off for a long period of time without driving, there will be a delay to operation as the cart "wakes up" from power saving mode. First push of gas "wakes up" cart release then drives normally. |
