Default Small hole in battery case, repair?

Batteries were not anchored in,one slid and has a small cut in it, all the acid leaked out, 2 questions,#1 will hot glue repair the small cut?
#2 will I need to just add distilled water,or do I need to get acid from a old battery?

You will need a new battery.... I've not read of any hot glue, glue or epoxy holding up for the long haul The acid is inclined to soften up the adhesives and the battery cases are made of polypropylene which is very hard to adhere too.... But if you insist you would need replacement acid not water....

If the hole is below the level of the acid replace the battery!

I have a hole in the top of one battery. A little gasket maker and it's good to go

Big difference in a hole above the liquid level in the battery case compared to below.

Oh I agree. Just sharing my experience. I'd say try the plastic welding. If the battery is shot, what can it hurt?

Continuing acid leak is a bad thing. I would not trust a fix.
