Default ezgo no go

helping a friend with 36 volt ezgo. might run good for 600 feet then quits.or might go 5 feet then quits acts like it wants to go but does not have any power not sure what year fully charged batteries 38 to 39 volts. any help appreciated

You need to find out if the battery voltage is staying up when it tries to go. Quite often, the batteries are at fault with this kind of problem.

Check all the connections on the large cables. Check all the cables on the forward and reverse switch for signs of heat. Also there is a little four pin connector that should be under the controller that connects the throttle and the controller. Unplug it check for corrosion. It has been known to cause a lot of intermittent problems.
