Need advice troubleshooting 1993 EZGO Marathon
New to trying to troubleshoot my 93 EZGO Marathon electric cart. Stopped running the other day. Switch tested good. Batteries relatively new and tested good. I replaced the solenoid on a hunch but didn't help. Solenoid clicks when I press the pedal, but then nothing. Not sure where to go next in trying to isolate the problem. Have been going through various posts here and see references to a reed switch and the maintenance switch. Not sure how to locate either of those or if they exist on this model. Appreciate suggestions or referral links. Thanks.

Is there not a guide in the stickies? I think like Roady or Scottyb posted it. Could be cables or controller too.
Are you sure the motor is good? |

Cart was running fine. Parked for a few minutes and it didn't work after that. Could that be motor failure? How can I test the motor?

Re: Need advice troubleshooting 1993 EZGO Marathon
A controller will have a controller and a resistor will have a metal box with resistor coils in it.
Test the motor by useing max 18v with jumper cables . Scotty just posted the big ram last night but I can't Remer what post I was in? Maybe one of these guys has it saved or remembers where it is. It had his carts unlimited site as a credit so maybe you can find it on his site? |
