Looks like I've stumbled upon a place to not only be educated but to also get a few laughs.
I picked up the cart yesterday and went straight to the dealer and get the speed code 4 done. Turns out it came from the factory with it already done. The scanner showed 17 miles, so it looks like I lucked up and bought a practically new cart. Thanks for the help.

There we go. This thread has now been hijacked. Now we are going to have a bunch of useless posts like this one.

Sorry I'm late to the party. Stay away from any of the 12 volt cars unless you don't need the added range the 8 volts can provide. Club Car stopped using 12 volts because they didn't last as long, and didn't offer adequate run time between charges. Golf courses want to play 3 rounds a day, and the 12s didn't deliver, so they went back to 8's. The 2009 had a junk throttle device known as the TPS, which was supposed to be warranted out and replaced with an MCOR2 on all 2009s, but lots of them slipped through the cracks. They're easy to update though. Anything after 2008.5 is an excellent car.

Hey all, I’ll rejuvenate this one for selfish reasons.

Bought an 09 precedent about a year ago (first cart) and got obsessed/love it. Straight off an old golf course and I added all the cheap made in you-know-where stuff I could get my hands on.

Opportunity came up and I couldn’t resist buying a 2011 and 2013 precedent as a pair ($2400 total.. shoot dummy not to!).

One will be a keeper and the other I’m just making presentable for my neighbor at cost.

They’re both in generally the same shape … so I’m wondering, is there any benefit in a 2013 vs a 2011 or vice versa? (Ignore batteries - both are toast).

By benefit I mean… stronger motor? (I assume they’re identical) … Easier to find parts? (I know replacing the bumper beam on my 09 was nightmare since it was right before they switched it (08.5 to be exact)).

Win win situation for both me and my neighbor, but he’s gonna leave his stock and I’m sure to tinkle around and get myself into trouble.

Thanks!

No difference to speak of between the 2011 and 2013 unless the 2013 is a late build and uses an ERIC charger. If that's the case that's the one you want to keep.
