Default I expect to get Crap for this :) suspension lift

Ok, I will post pics shortly, cause i know we all like pics :)

I added some new tires/wheels, we went from the standard 17.5 to 20 inch diameter.... got some rubbing.... as to be expected...

I kinda went redneck just to figure out how much lift I needed to clear without cutting anything up...

Turns out it's 1.75 inches...

I used a 2x4 aka 1.5" thick and a .25 thick piece of metal stock... it's just temporary I swear LOL

Been looking to see what everybody else has done and possibly a kit .... not finding anything shorter than a 3" lift...

So the plan was to just use some aluminum flat stock and build it up to 1.75...

But....

Since the cart is faster, upgrades got me from 11-21mph and it's a bit loose at speed... not sure if it's the redneck lift or I just didn't notice until I added 10mph to the top speed....

If the lift isn't the cause of the looseness then what do you suggest to tighten it up ?

If it is the lift and I put the geometry to far out of scope then anybody know a kit with just that short lift ?

Thanks

Mike

When you lift a cart you will need to realign it or it will get squirrely at top end.

that's a good description... seems like a 2 beer project... gonna need to get some weight on the thing while i align it :) im sure i can convince a few neighbors to sit in it while i adjust it...

ok that's gonna be at least 2 beers a apiece plus mine, we are up to a six pack...

You should not need any weight on it. Just tow the front out a bit until it feels steady at higher speeds.

what lift table are you using? looks handy

don't underestimate the versatility of wood
i needed to get a buddys mazda out of my garage and used a pine 1x6 for a carb adapter
from a 4 barrel 80s smog carb to a 60s era spare single barrel rochester i had laying around
the mazda rotary had no power but it made it home and got it out of my gargage
