Default 04 president

20170709_143820[1].jpgThis cart was brought to me for not working I looked under the seat and seen this resistor unplugged so I plugged it in and nothing still so I went and worked on something else and came back later and it was black and I touched it and it was hotter than you know what. Any one know what would cause this. backwards maybe?

Check out this thread. Tahoe explains how to check the motor for a short, but most of the time it's the controller.

I got another controller today just need a need resister. Should the resister measure resistance both ways or open one way. And which way does it go?

Resistors can go either way (they are non-directional as Nole said). It is diodes that are directional and must be fitted the right way around.
