Question loose motor shaft?

I noticed that when I re-installed my motor from a seperate fix that the free end shaft was loose...it makes some noise too when driving. That shaft shouldn't be loose...Bearings gone bad? they didnt look damaged...

Top to bottom, left to right or in and out?

My shaft on my 2003 DS has about 1/32 in/out play.
Zero in all other directions.

Bearing is gone.

If it gets too much play the motor armature could hit the field poles and that will be bad.

What cart type is this?

I don't know how to replace that bearing. Hopefully is can be done without tearing the case apart.

Experts here will let you know for sure.

i wish I knew what kind of cart it is...and the motor has no ID info at all other than numbers stamped on every little piece but none of them come up in a search...this is the closest one I can find to ...it actually looks identical
