1. Cart came with the AMD 5hp motor. Previous owner burned up the first.

2. TahoeDave (Tahoedawg) didn't know what kind of magnet was in it when I questioned him. But I can tell you after installing the 4 pole, all regen was disabled, which I had. So it definitely didn't have a 4 pole before I put one on.

I had regen braking at 19mph so I assumed that I had speed code 4. However, even the experts on the site could NOT tell if the 19mph limit was from speed code 4, or just a speed code 3 with the beefier engine. Theoretically, the controller would have kept it to 19 no matter what engine was attached. It's over my head and I was unable to get a for sure answer. Rather that trailer it miles to somebody with a programmer, I just decided to throw a magnet in it and go with that. If I knew it had a speed code of 3, I would gladly go somewhere to get 4 installed for about $100. It just wasn't worth the time and effort to find out. If I could get the same speeds as mrgolf said he got with the stock controller and my engine, I'd gladly pay the money and get the code 4. Much safer for the engine and passengers.

My controller is a Curtis 350 amp. I got it from David, I have no ideal how it is set up. Heck I don't even know if it has speed codes.
