Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
I tried jumping the 2-pin and cart still will not move... solenoid clicks and reverse buzzer will sound, but that's it. Any other ideas?

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
Leave the 2-pin jumper installed for now.
You said the solenoid was replaced, make sure the big post that goes to the Controller only has the big cable, any other small wires should be on the post that goes to the battery. Also make sure the F1 or F2 spade connectors did not come loose from the Controller. Lift one rear wheel off the ground and measure the voltage across the solenoid pig posts, it should go from a few volts to 0v when the Solenoid clicks. |

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
Ok - the solenoid is wired correctly, verified with a wiring diagram. The large post with the #6 yellow to the controller has only that wire on it (and the precharge resistor).
F1 and F2 are connected to controller Why am I lifting one rear wheel? Don't I need to lift both? thanks again |

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
You can lift both if you want but on a open differential rear end if one wheel if off the ground the other one will not turn.
If You have a limited slip or a modified Lincoln-Locker type differential then you always need to lift both. |

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
Any time I try to press the accelerator, the solenoid clicks, but the cart doesn't move and then I try again, but after a few tries, it stops clicking at all and I also lose my reverse buzzer. I assume the OBC went into lockout mode, so I plugged in the charger to reset it and buzzer works again and solenoid will click. Is it an OBC issue?
Should also mention that I noticed that the needle on the charger does not move off of zero when I plug in the cart and I don't hear the hum that I normally do when it is charging. I do hear the click when it is plugged in though. |

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
Is the charger plugged to a working AC outlet?
What is your pack voltage? If more than 50v, go ahead and by-pass the OBC. Disconnect the OBC 6-pin plug and place a large paper-clip or jumper wire between the Blue and the White wires on the cart harness side plug. You still have the 2-pin MCOR jumped right? |

Pack voltage is 48.9, can I still bypass? If not what is my other option?

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
You should get a little charge on those batteries, since they are new You don't want them to get that low.
Did You check the AC outlet the charger is plugged in to make sure it is working? Even with a bad OBC if the charger relay clicks you should hear a low hum. Check the breaker on the charger as well |

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
I plugged the charger in again and listened a little closer... after the relay click, I do hear a low hum from the charger... not the louder buzz that you hear when it is charging, but I do hear something.
The outlet is working just fine. I actually have a dedicated 20A circuit that I ran for the charger several years ago. It tests just fine. I'm thinking that all signs are pointing to the OBC... I have a neighbor with a 08 Precedent - I'm going to ask him if I can swap his out to test my cart, might be a couple days before I can do it though. Any other thoughts? Thanks again for all your help so far |

Re: 05 Precedent Won't Move
Motor or controller is my thought.
Motor is an easy check |
