There can be extra sticking out. The padding that makes up the seat does a very nice job of covering that up and you won't feel them.

Yeah that pad is not like a typical couch seat foam. It's more dense. I'm having trouble finding a way to purchase a replacement foam. Do you know of anywhere I can buy that because I have one more cart to build.
