Default unit to set speed, up-peddle braking, etc. on CC

Our community has around 25 golf carts (all but three CC) and occasionally will have a tech come out to reset speed or up-peddle braking on various carts. I would like to know how much one of those units costs, and will a single unit work on all Precedents and all DS carts that have computers, or would I need to buy several units?
Thanks,

Dave or Scotty may know better, but the only way you can purchase one is used unless you are a dealer (I think). And I think the used ones or the one’s made in China aren’t as functional as the one’s from Curtis.

To give you an idea, this is what you are looking for:

Anybody can buy em.
Mine came from china, OEM level controller, works like it's supposed to.
Unless you know source overseas, buy one in the US from a known dealer.
There are alot of clones.

Thanks Htownblue & Muddog for the quick replies.
I went to the above link but I am still a bit confused. The unit 1313, in the ad, says there are 4 access levels, and each shows a different number: 1313-4331 OEM Programmer, 1313-3231 Dealer Programmer, 1313-2131 Service Programmer and 1313-1131 User Programmer. Are these different models, or does the one unit access all four levels. Having left the sixties a day too late, I am easily befuddled. I noticed a pack of them on eBay in the sold search, all marked Curtis and most shipping from China. Soooo, is the one my 100 mile away CC dealer pulls from his Ermine muff, the same as the one available from China? Thanking you in advance,

The 1313-4331 is the highest level programmer, it will allow you to do everything except program speed code 4, only dealers can do that.
You can program to speed code 3.
Here's the Curtis site for programmer:

Well slight correction. Anybody with a dealer level handset can set code 4 but you do have to get that code from a dealer.

Another option that folks are using now is to get a special cable and use the Curtis software with a laptop. Got about $100 bucks in the cables I have now but I can hook up to Club Car, EZGo and pretty much everything with a Curtis controller at dealer level. Working on boot legging to Developer mode so I can tweak stuff I am not supposed to

Thread is here that talks about it. Warning, it is a long one http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...ontroller.html

Update: I went ahead and bit the bullet (not quite sure where that expression came from) and purchased a Curtis 1313-4331. The unit arrived and looks to be just what I hoped for. Unfortunately it did not come with the cable allowing connection to a Club Car mini XLR (the round female jack). I've e-mailed them, but in the meantime, is there anyone in the US that handles them? Thanks,
Brian

As long as You have the 4-pin molex connector cable, you can plug directly to the controller until you get the xlr connector.

You can order the mini xlr connector on e-bay, but is cost about $78.00

Yea, I just saw that. It does seem a bit steep.
