Default Is this Reman Cart a Regen or IQ

Have a guy a long distance away that has a Club Car he wants trade me. I have learned the hard way to RUN from the Regen carts. So, before I drive a long way to look at it, I am hoping I can determine whether it is Regen or IQ.

Anyway, serial number is: RE0037-932269

I know that is the serial number for a factory Re manufactured cart. Does that serial number indicate that this was originally an older cart and 2000 was the Re manufacture date or was it a 2000 model cart that was Re-manufactured at a later date?

I was thinking around 2000.5 is when they went to IQ.

After doing some more reading, it looks like this may be a knock-off reman job. I read where the factory reman label should be gold or silver, not white. Anybody seen this before?

Yes, I have bought Regen Conversion stuff from Dave before and he was a HUGE help. I am hoping someone can glean the info I need from the serial number I posted

I've not personally seen a reman sticker like that before, but according to that serial number, it's a 2000 model. IQ came out in 2002, so it's unlikely that it's an IQ, unless someone has upgraded it along the way. It's more than likely either a Regen II, or a series cart. The F/R switch tells a lot- if it's a handle, it's series, if it's a rocker switch, it's regen. Hope this helps...

The presence of a Run/tow switch would also indicate sepex (IQ) drive as would 2 big and 2 smaller motor wires... as well as any small wires coming off of the motor tail end.

Just my opinion....

It appears to be an original Club Car serial number,
RE = Reserve Precedent Golf Car
00 = 2000
37 = week of manufacture

I'll take a guess that it was built for a backup if stock ran out, or for something (or someone) special.

IF... it was a Remanufactured Club Car, it would have a number, then a letter, then the series of 4 numbers,

For example:
7A0037-XXXXXX

7A = RESERVE GOLF CAR 48V 3 YR
OR...
7A = RESERVE GOLF CAR IQ 3 YR

The best bet is to follow up on Scotty's info, or get a pic of the controller.

pdf of the prefixes attached.

I have read where there were fake remans in the market and all factory remans had gold or silver sticker.

If that is a 2000 cart that had been remanned later, I am hoping it was upgraded to IQ. However, if 2000 were the year of reman, it obviously can't be IQ unless owner did it.

I am just going to have to get more pics/data from owner.

It's either a Regen 2 or a Series car. You should be able to determine which one of the two of those it is by looking at my guide that was posted in post #2. It's definitely not an IQ if it's a 2000. I've seen a few of those "Reserve" serial numbers posted but I'm not exactly sure what the story is behind them. I know they're some sort of Club Car factory stickers, but I don't know the details.
